The Washington Center Internships

The Washington Center Internships

On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, Ciara Barrick, Admissions Counselor from The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, will be on campus to recruit students for summer and fall internships. The Political Science Department is hosting a Drop-in Advising Session for students interested in a summer or fall internship with The Washington Center on February 11 from 12:30 pm to 1:50 pm in SSB 241. The session is open to all students regardless of major.

TCNJ and The Washington Center have established a partnership that allows TCNJ students to pursue a semester or a summer in Washington, DC, participate in a full-time internship from Monday to Thursday, take an academic class one evening a week, and attend a weekly leadership seminar on Fridays…all for TCNJ credit! No matter what type of work you want to explore or pursue, chances are that the leading firm, government agency, research institute or advocacy group in the field has an office in the country’s capitol.  Many have internship positions for students that allow them to gain practical experience, test the theories and techniques learned in class, and build a professional network.
