From Data to Insight: How to Analyze and Communicate Quantitative Information Effectively

Data Analysis and Visualization for Labor Market, Economic and Policy Research: (All-day workshop) This workshop trains participants to identify insights from data and communicate those insights effectively to relevant stakeholders. A central goal of the workshop is to provide participants with a set of applied tools frequently used to conduct data analysis and evaluate public policies using R.

This workshop is facilitated by Dr. Daniel Bowen, who has over 15 years of experience providing training in data analysis, programming, statistics and research design, and data visualization. A scholar of policy-making and governance in the U.S. states, Dr. Bowen has extensive experience working with complex data of all types and presenting quantitative analysis to a diverse range of audiences. Dr. Bowen serves as Associate Professor of Political Science at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), where he is also the founding director of The College’s public policy graduate programs and teaches courses on research methodology and program evaluation.
